I used to work in an eyebrow salon in a mall and the owner closed it down. Its been closed down for a month and Im doing eyebrow threading at a local salon now. Theres a guy opening up a new one in the exact location calling it another name, but he put a sign on the doors saying under new management. Now my question is, if the name of the company I was working for is trademarked, even though this guy is calling it something else, can he legally say under new management seeing as the two companies are not affiliated? I live in the state of SC. Thanks I was just curious. But honestly, I know who the man is and I dont trust him. He owns a jewelry kiosk in that mall and opened a threading place in the other mall (where he employed unlicensed and illegal individuals) and while we were still up and running he was slandering us and telling our clients (some of which are my friends) that we werent open when we were...that was back during the holiday season. I just think hes a very unethical person. But once again, just out of curiosity....kind of wondering if he was doing it out of spite. Jake-theres no signs or anything left in the store from my ex-employer. Im actually in the town over so I actually have the upper hand with small town clients and college girls, especially since Im the only threader in town. Im a cosmetologist so I can do everything beauty wise, I dont have a certification to do individual lashes....but i can do them. Id still rather be certified because they do teach you more about the process and a certification just looks so much more professional.
